Wedding preparation (Angbao Box)

One of the most important thing on the list is to confirm now is the red packet box.

Many ideas flow by but never really get into my head. DIY boxes are cool and nice but I know the box will either go wasted or end up as some storage after the wedding. General boxes are too common and it'll look like I didn't make any effort to decorate my angbao box!

ARGH!

Finally on one fine day, I saw this puzzle thing at Compass point where you can do a 3D arrangements to any form that you want (as long as you are creative enough). However, it's too expensive and to do an angbao box, I will need to buy many sets and it's too pricey.

Thought of replacing the idea with Legos and went on a hunting spree for Legos. Little do I know that Legos does not come cheap too and have a few sizes to work on. Small medium, mid-medium and large. In order to ensure that the Legos that I bought, will fit nephew's Lego collection, we used our fingers as a benchmark to measure the Lego size. Did a brief calculations on the number of pieced that we will require and bought a box of Legos home with a base as support.

Tried a few rounds before we get the actual words formed. Too many very of the chinese Shuangxi word and Liang did a few times before it was deemed to be right.

1st try, word cannot be seen, too messy and the slot for angbao is too small!
Pretty on the outside, but messy on the inside. Ha-ha!

Final product! Word is much clearer with a bigger angbao slot, kudos to Liang.

And with this, we are done with the ANGBAO box! I'm certainly happy with the end result, once the wedding is over, we can dismantle the Legos and give it to nephews as toys!

On a side note, it's photo shoot day soon and my nails are all ready for it!

Nothing too fanciful, plain and glittery for a natural touch! They are not the main focus of the photo shoot anyways~
