Wedding preparations (Guo Da Li and An Chuang)

We bought our Guo Da Li stuff from a shop at Chinatown and spent about $500 plus just for the traditional items. In good faith for a blessed marriage followed by well wishes and abundances, we got those necessity items and spent a good solid hour with the aunty.

She was from China but very friendly as she went through the Hokkien customs and to-do list with us. Her hubby, was also very friendly and all purchases were done through our own initiatives, they didn't do any hard-sell or give us any must-buy attitude.

We had our Guo Da Li one week before and An Chuang two days before the wedding date. As the bed cannot be touched once the An Chuang was done till the morning wedding ceremony is over, so didn't want to do it too early.

All ready from Hubby side
Guo Da li was a very simple affair for us. All we did was to exchange the required gifts from Hubby side and my side on the GDL day, just another formality I would say.

New room is ready!!!

Return gifts from my side
