Pregnancy: Pre-natal Yoga

Told myself that I will join a pre-natal yoga class if I got pregnant someday to ensure that I minimize all the 'negative changes' of being pregnant.

Matched multiple researches to prove that pre-natal yoga is not recommended during 1st trimester as this stage is more prone for miscarriage. Hence, it is encouraged for pregnant ladies to start after 16 weeks as it is safer.
Now that I'm in my 2nd trimester, it's time for me to 'work' on it!

10 reasons to start

Gathered my homework and shortlisted a few places:

True Yoga: Well-known for Yoga and has 2 branches at Pan Pacific Plaza or Ocean Financial Centre but both seems far and I'd prefer my class to be smaller and private.

VandaYoga: Consultant provided clear advice on my enquiry email and has 2 places to choose from, either at Serangoon Road or China Square for weekends classes. Again, location is not ideal as I know I'll end up at home instead of making my way out!

Allaboutyoga: Offers a good range of Yoga selection for all and conducts the class at a studio within walking distance from my office. Such a good catch but the current batch is only available during office hours or on a Saturday. Didn't want to make special arrangements at work nor return to work area on a weekend and hence dropped this for the moment.

Inspiremum&baby: My ideal combination as it provides group class in a Condo and it's located at Simei at 8pm, every Tuesday. Overall profile looks good and saw a few recommendaation by mother-to-be via forum. Considering all factors: time, location and price, this made more sense as compared to the rest.

Finally decided on inspiremums and sent in my booking to request for my class to start as of 1 May 2013. Looking forward to our Taiwan trip and then, the start of my yoga class!

New Mahjong set for home

Since the return of our usual weekends 2 weeks ago, the MJ routine continues. Bought a set of new Mahjong tiles for home as the current set does not have the 'FEI' tiles!

Choose the blue tiles after some comparsion as beige looks good but seems too 'nude'. Gold was nice but too bright and aunty said that a layer of blur layer will form once it gets contact with water.

TA-DA, new baby in the LIM house

Damages: S$75 (but fully recovered from the game, haha!)

Pregnancy: 1st purchase for baby

Mega John Little Expo Sales: 4th - 14th April 2013

Did my 1st purchase for baby over the weekend!

After 5 months of 'shopping with no buying' policy as I didn't want to buy too early and keep them in the waredrobe, I finally made my 1st purchase for darling girl from FOX baby.

Usual price: S$50plus
Offer price: S$16

For now, this has to be kept in the waredrobe for at least 6 months as it is only good for 3 - 6 months old babies.

I got the following for S$40 - $50 per set for baby nephew and it's now on promotion for S$16 each only *heartpain*

What goes along to the check out counter includes diapers for newborn, S size, pureen fruits and vegetables washer, baby body wash and toy for nephews, and of course, something for ourselves, a set of bedsheet and comforter set.
Usually, such fairs are worth a visit as prices will be generally cheaper but make sure you have an idea of the 'original prices' as not all goods are worth a buy.

Total damages are well controlled as we spent less than SGD$250.

Takashimaya Baby Fair 2013

Taka Baby Fair: 14 - 24 March 2013

Besides the bi-annual expo baby fair, this is a fair that parents will look forward to as most of the well-known baby brands will be participating and offering discounts off the shelf prices. We decided to drop by to check out prices for stroller and some of the baby products too.

Lg fell in love with BabyTrend, Close and Cozy Bassinet and playpen like it was a 'Love at First Sight' and insisted on buying. It was 90% close to what we wanted to have and comes along with an electronic music center with volume control, nightlight, and vibration. Sounds all right and perfect only for the fact that I thought it was too early to buy and we can always return to get it.

But well, payment was made after walking around as Lg was worried that it might not be available as it wasn't displayed at the baby department, and promoter said that they did not participate for the last Baby Expo fair.

Close and Cozy Bassinet: up to 4.5kg.
Playard: up to 11kg.

42"W x 27"L x 31.5"H
Invested: S$250

Other deals seems recurring and will be available soon again so nothing else was bought.

Come to think of it, this was a fair that I'm very familiar with. Setting up for baby fair and standing at the baby department at Takashimaya during my poly days seems so long ago but memory stands clear.

Saw many familiar faces, those were the Aunties and Uncles whom I've worked with and I'm amazed that they are still working for the same brand. Although we often say that Singaporeans don't stay in a job for long and turnover is high, but out of 5 faces that I know of, they are still hired with the same employee.

Time sure flies, can't imagine that I'm now a mother-to-be (MTH)! I used to watch MTH spending their fortune away at a baby fair, and it's going to be my turn soon!!!

Daddy's daddy and daddy are getting all busy late at night to assemble it to ensure that all parts are good. What mummy did was just to sit by the side and read the manual guide... such an easy job!

2nd Family Trip: Hong Kong (Day 8 - Farewell HK)

Hong Kong: 23 - 30 January 2013

Time flies and it's the last day in Hong Kong! Had a long night packing our luggage and squeezing everything into the respective bags. We didn't do a lot of shopping and most were either gifts or local snacks that we are bringing home!

Checked out of our apartment and went over to another apartment to deposit our luggage as it was still early and too troublesome to move around with the number of luggage we have!

Met Nai Nai at Mongkok today for dim sum lunch and as usual, their dim sum standard never fail to meet our expectations. No photos are it wasn't nice to take pictures of food while dining with and elderly.

Look at the number of luggage that we have carried despite minimum shopping plus the hand-holding kids, whew!

It's time to bid goodbye to Hong Kong, and it was definitely a memorable holiday for all of us! Thinking back and looking through all the places that we have visited, I guess everyone has done a great job! Ha-ha.
