2nd Family Trip: Hong Kong (Day 8 - Farewell HK)

Hong Kong: 23 - 30 January 2013

Time flies and it's the last day in Hong Kong! Had a long night packing our luggage and squeezing everything into the respective bags. We didn't do a lot of shopping and most were either gifts or local snacks that we are bringing home!

Checked out of our apartment and went over to another apartment to deposit our luggage as it was still early and too troublesome to move around with the number of luggage we have!

Met Nai Nai at Mongkok today for dim sum lunch and as usual, their dim sum standard never fail to meet our expectations. No photos are it wasn't nice to take pictures of food while dining with and elderly.

Look at the number of luggage that we have carried despite minimum shopping plus the hand-holding kids, whew!

It's time to bid goodbye to Hong Kong, and it was definitely a memorable holiday for all of us! Thinking back and looking through all the places that we have visited, I guess everyone has done a great job! Ha-ha.

2nd Family Trip - Hong Kong (Day 6 - Disneyland)

Hong Kong: 23 - 30 January 2013

Today is a happy fairytale day and be warned, this is a photo bomb post.

Disneyland can be conveniently located at the MTR Disneyland Resort station and our traveling time took less than 45mins from Yau Ma Tei station.

Yo Yo Yo!!!
Oppa-ing

Well concealed lift

Such a happy place, can feel the fantasy aura already.

We're finally here!

She is so cute, like didi! Ah Bian!

We do not have tickets and someone tried to sell us before we proceed to the main entrance at a few tens cheaper per ticket but gave it a missed. Prefers to buy from the main counter and indeed, there is no promotion. Too troublesome to go out and buy from her anyway ;p

XXD fell asleep and still holding on to the bottle tight!
It's their TIME!

1st stop: Drawing Daisy!

Paying attention
Step by step
Teacher's drawing is always the prettiest
姨丈 trying hard to follow
Guess who's???

Tristan's with 姨丈 help
Mine!
Travis's

CUTE
The spinning magic
While we are drawing inside, sis-in-law went to queue for the photo-taking session with Mickey and Minnie. It was a long queue and we spent at least 40minutes at the queue as the mascots took a few 5mins break in-between the photo-taking session. We only joined in when it's our turn!

Kudos to the 'hard-working daddy!

Left our baby stroller at the entrance of the 'train' station as no stroller is allowed and took a train to the other side of the park. Kind of regret as we though it is a round about train but we are asked to alight at the next station.

We should have walked instead of taking a train over if we knew this is the case as most of the things are left in the stroller.

Kor got a problem coming down and shouted for HELP!

60 mins for the following ride!

Boat ride in the 'jungle' with man-made animals and effects. The best part was the fire burning throughout the whole journey and the rest was just boring. Maybe good for children for the 'elephants, crocodiles, hippopotamus etc'.

We queued for 30mins for this trip and was at the 'Chinese speaking' lane initially till we realized that 'English speaking' lane was moving faster.

So we switched over and then.. they changed their plan and said as the 'Chinese speaking' lane was too packed, waiting time will be the same for all lanes as most boats will serve the busy crowd instead!!!

Took a break to eat the must have 'Disneyland' dim sum after the boat trip.

60 minutes again???

It's turning colddddddddd
A ride in the fantasy land and everything was so beautiful and dreamy ;)

3D Donald Duck show was amazing, a lot better as compared to the Shrek show that we have in Universal Studio in Singapore. But, I don't know why didi fell asleep during the show, maybe too tired! Ha-ha.

So cute, but too full to eat.

Photo of the day

Epic photo, this Kor!
It's CNY!
It's another 60mins ride but this time, after much consideration, the men got forced to bring the kids to queue for the go-kart ride.

Got to catch the fireworks from far and the boys came down just in time, after the go-cart ride! Finale~

Too thirsty, no image!
Ballons that are too expensive, a photo is enough.

Disneyland is indeed a place worth visiting and even though many have commented that HK Disneyland was nothing compared to what Japan has, I think it's good enough for now! At least it is located at HK, somewhere that we can afford yet have fun at.

猪血
The carrot cake was very yummy.
Just like any HK drama, we witnessed the firemen in action! Kor and Di was so amazed and we stayed throughout till they left to the back lane.
2 fire engines activated but we can't tell what's happening. Everywhere looked peaceful.

Applause for both the kids! They walked throughout the night and didn't take any nap in between. No grumpiness, no complaints and no demanding requests to be carried!
