Ful month pastry for relatives and friends

Got the moonpie cake from Le Cafe instead of those traditional gift box for relatives and close friends. Since Mid-Autumn festive is coming soon, thought this might fit in as well :)

Simple cake for colleagues from Choz

Door gift
Button magnets, red eggs and glutinous rice.

Chanced upon spotlight and saw these pretty cloths that matched perfectly for Ada's 1st month celebration theme. Instead of plain table cloth and buffet overlay, we bought this for the buffet line deco. DIY and got Liang's aunty to help sew into the respective sizes.

Buffet set up

(Food and floral decorations are by Purple Sage)

NB: All buttons and full month related props are excluded; not from the caterer. We bought those decorative items on our own to enhance the buffet line decoration

It was a super busy day and please accept my apologies if I did not get to spend much time with you.

Photos are blogged in a very random arrangement but I have tried my best to organize and group the photos in accordance but it still looked a little messed up. Too much time needed to rearrange the photos, do scroll and 'look out' for your photos ok!

Our sleeping beauty was very good, slept through the day and didn't get too fussy.

Thank you Shuxian and Amanda for taking up the role of my personal photographer for the day! Muacks!

   Alpha button monogram

Thank you everyone who has helped to piece up Ada's monogram. I will frame it up as her 1st month present for her to hang on her future bedroom wall, till she is all grown up and able to appreciate the gift from everyone's effort.

Thank you Lijun for helping to complete it!!!

Thank you everyone for the gifts and angbao for baby Ada.

We started with an intention to celebrate Ada's 1st month with our family only but after taking care of her for a few weeks, I've decided to go ahead and plan for a gathering as a significance to her attainment of a full month's survival in good health. I'm glad that we did it and thank you everyone for the love that you have for us and Ada!

Thanks for all the well wishes again, and I'm sure although baby Ada was sleeping most of the times, I believed she felt all the love from you all.

Happy 33rd month-niversary!

2 years and 9 months, a brand new beginning of our life. Today, we mark a new start of our month-niversary with a little one by our side.

Although we do not celebrate our month-niversary, it's a little different this month. On 4 August, we spent our 1st month-niversary with our darling at home as I'm still within the 'confinement' month. Nothing is more important than having you and baby by my side ;D

When all things fail, i know you are there.
When everyone leave, I know you will stay.
When faith fade away, I know you will persist.
You made all these possible, with the LOVE we shared.

I love you, and thank you for being there and giving me your very best for the past 33 months! Happy month-niversary lg.

Baby Ada: First cry (27 July 2013)

The long awaited day has finally arrived as baby girl decided to see us in the morning at 9am.

The whole process of conception, pregnancy and birth-giving is so amazing. How can an egg and a sperm equates to a baby??? How can a mother's womb endure such a fast growing baby for 9 months and keeping it alive. No wonder we always say mothers have the greatest love and willing to sacrifice anything just to keep a child safe and sound.

I was too tired to hold the baby for long in the operations room from all the pushing, and was having a fever after that and feeling all drowsy. I guessed it's because I'm too exhuasted and had no strength to even hold my phone for all. All I could do was to try to close my eyes and stay awake before I got transferred to my ward.

Managed to deliver without the use of an epidural and avoided pain-killer during my hospital stay. It was painful and I have some challenge walking around but still endurable so I didn't want to depend on painkiller. Didn't get to really see baby till I was more awake in the afternoon! The eyes, mouth and nose... aww.

Baby birth weight was 3230g, 52cm length and 34cm head circumference.

Poor xxd was not feeling well and we were both hospitalized, but at different hospitals. He was at Thomson while I'm at Mt. A. Imagine if we stay in the same room, side by side each other.

Haha... sure havoc~

Thank you friends for visiting us at the hospital!

Time in the hospital passes really fast with everyone's companion. Sorry if I do not have everyone's photo below! There are many many others who came to visit but I was too pain to move around for photo-taking! (Thank you Lijun for taking photos on behalf while visiting.

Photos with Daddy and Mummy!

Efficient daddy filling up all the forms, whew.

Thank you guys for making some time out for a house-visit!

Appreciated all the well wishes and thoughtful gifts for both the mummy and baby.

Welcome to the family baby Ada!!!

Pregnancy: Prenatal Yoga videos

It has been about 1 month since the last yoga lesson that I have attended and whenever i felt that my muscles and feet are tensed up, I'll do some moves on my own to relief the tension.

Backaches has been acting on for the past 2 nights and thought that it might be time for me to do a full set of yoga stretches to ease the ache today.

Searched for YouTube yoga guide that is suitable for 3rd trimester onwards and found 2 really good videos with some moves that are similar to those that I have practiced in the Yoga class.

Try this if you are a beginner but take your time to get into the positions if you have no prior experience in Yoga. It has a few episode that you can continue viewing on YouTube.

Pregnancy Yoga: Episode 1

If you have experience with Yoga, try the following video instead. It is a bit fast for me but the moves are really good for stretches.

Prenatal Yoga with Lara Dutta - Routine

I almost gave up sitting on the seat doing researches just now as the tummy is getting on my way and just felt so uncomfortable sitting down. However, I am able shared this post while cooling down after I'm done with the yoga stretches. Overall, I felt better and hope that tonight's sleep can be better.

Yawns~

Pregnancy: 38 weeks

Baby is coming into the world in 2 weeks time! I'll be missing her kicks in my tummy with fluffy funny feeling and the feeling of being belly tight when she popped her backside up late at night.

Besides missing all the grooving in me 'feel', I'm kinda looking forward to her birth date so that my swollen nose, legs and cellulite can go off soonest possible!

Felt a little lethargic recently as baby has been active at night and during the nights when baby is good, I will have many vivid dreams where my brain don't seem to stop thinking. By the time I open my eyes, it's time for work!!!

Feeling exceptionally heavy today during the whole pregnancy >.<". It's so heavy that I don't even feel like using my phone nor concentrate and play jelly-dash!

Of course, since doctor mentioned that baby is alebit small at 2.2kg during the last check up, I hope that I'm feeling heavy as she is putting on weight tremendously to get ready for birth.

Mummy here is praying for your health and safety everyday till you are born

Name stickers

Roaming around Bishan today and spotted the sticker kiosk for name outside Mini Toons. Since we have decided on baby's name, we were searching for online stickers purchases for names and thought we might just print it on the spot. It cost a little more but we can choose the stickers, collect it on the spot and save a little hassle to order online.

Too many characters to choose from and finally chosen Baby Disney characters!

$7 for 72 designs and comes in a cute sticker card sized holder.

Online shops are selling at $4 onward and perhaps if we have more things to stick on, I'll do an online purchase next time.

We are definitely counting down to every day for your arrival and soon, these stickers will be pasted on your milk bottles and accessories!
