Naming baby girl

Did a handful of homework for baby's name by going through numerous websites and books. Many websites were really helpful but didn't have what I have in mind.

Few websites that I personally prefers:

I wanted a name that is simple and easy to pronounce, and something that will bring out our girl's character since one always says it's a name that makes a person. I wanted something really out of the ordinary but it's not easy to have a unique name yet can't be too fanciful in case it gets mispronounced most of the times or too trendy to have a classmate with the same name in time to come.

Came across many beautiful names such as Isabella, Sophie, Casey, Dawn, Emma, Faith and the list can just go on and on. Kinda decided on Ada upon coming across the name for a few times but prefers to look around for more names and shortlisted Jodie, Leah, Jolyn, Eslyn, Annabelle, Amber and Ashlyn eventually.

Although it was nothing out of the ordinary, Ada caught my first attention as it was simple and sounds secured. Liang prefers Jodie most and was top of his list. Can't remember why he voted for Jodie, perhaps it sounds friendly and sweet. After-all, Jodie Koh sounds as good as Ada Koh and the rest of the names just came by through researches and fell nicely onto the shortlisting page.

It was through a random conversation that we decided on Ada after putting the topic to a stop for a while. Both of us felt comfortable with the name and didn't want to complicate the decision-making process too much by adding on more names, ADA was hence selected for our dear baby girl!

Meaning of Ada comes in a variation and babyzone.com depicts as the following:

In a summary, may our first daughter be prosperous, happy, beautiful and adorned!!!

Pregnancy: 28 weeks

Tummy is growing slightly bigger and felt especially tight today... Pregnancy has been smooth so far and hoping that swelling won't happen to me too soon yet!

Loving every moment that baby is kicking although it hinders my rest at night. It's amazing how I can keep my little girl inside my stomach yet letting it grow as days passes by.

Hope she'll grow up really healthy and well in my tummy till the day she is ready to be out!

This is how my tummy looks like last week, she's turning 29 weeks by now.

Counting down to seeing you in 12 weeks time!

Scrapbook for baby girl

Pretty scrapbook stickers and stamps for baby girl's first 12 months journey. Decided to take a photo of her once every month with different clothing to keep a record of her growing up journey. Kids grow up too fast and I didn't want to regret for not keeping track of it.

We're still deciding on her name, so can't start on anything yet! Can't wait to paste her 1st photo in the book :)

Pregnancy: 3rd trimester gift for baby girl

We went to gynae for the monthly check up yesterday and saw your face clearly with the 3D scan!

Since doctor commented that you seems to have a big nose, I'll guessed that you will grow up to be like mummy... Ha-ha!

Happy to hear that you are growing up well and weigh 1.2kg now!

My weight increased from 60kg to 61.3kg and is officially into the 28weeks- third trimester. Whew! I was so worried that I might put on more than 2kg after the taiwan trip. Almost almost... -.-'

Daddy bought a gift for you today, as a souvenir and gift to celebrate your healthy growth. We can't wait to put it on for your when you are out from mummy's tummy!

We'll look forward to 'seeing' you again in 3 weeks time!

Pregnancy: Pre-natal Yoga (1st lesson)

Instructor was a fun, soft-spoken lady with beautiful voice from Brazil.

Per yoga batch consists of 10 lessons at $270 but we only paid $216 for 8 classes as we joined halfway and only started on the 3rd lesson. I was still worried that steps might be difficult to be followed through but after a while, stretches were considered manageable, nothing too complicated.

A total of 6 mothers-to-be turned up for the class and everyone has a tummy of similar size to mine! Stretches were easy and light throughout with focus on relaxing and working on the pelvic and tailbone most of the time. Everything that was taught, could be done at home easily if you have the right space and ambiance for Yoga!

Although it's an hour class, time seems to pass swiftly.

Everything was good for a start, nothing too negative except that I personnally felt that stretches are a little slow and too relaxing!

Environment was excellent with soothing music and light lightnings, one would feel more relax after a busy day at work. I'm sure I can't do it at home as I might just laze on bed instead of carrying out the stretches. Too much distraction at home too, ha-ha.

Weekend shopping

While counting down to baby's arrival, it's time to do some shopping. Daddy's well prepared by changing his Amex reward points with Isetan's shopping voucher in advance!

This baby support looks too comfortable to be given a missed. Since we already have a stoller seat cover, bought this to add on as a support for baby to snuggle in her stroller. Otherwise, we could use it alternatively while the other piece is sent for washing.

It is reversible!
Cute front

Plain back
Nothing much was needed except for a hooded bath towel and the good thing for getting girl's product, is that you get to choose from all sorts of pretty prints.

I've finally finished my bottle of Clarins oil that lasted me for 3 months and has helped significantly when itch starts crawling onto my tummy. Hesitated to replace the same bottle even though it's cheaper at duty-free shop. Since we're using vouchers now, I went ahead to buy a new product to prevent stretch marks and hoping that it'll ease the expansion of my skin for the next 3 months.

Trying the cream version this time at $82 per tube! Hope it'll be as absorbent as the oil version.
