Wedding preparations (Trial make up and gown selection)

Just a few days before the pre-wedding photo-shoot, we have to meet up with the make-up artist (MUA) to communicate our make-up and hairstyle preferences, do a simple trial make up and back to the bridal studio to select my gowns for the indoor and outdoor photoshoot.

I didn't know that we are not allowed to bring out the main bridal gown for outdoor photo-taking and another gown needs to be selected! I thought everything that was chosen on the first fitting, will be used for both indoor and outdoor photo-taking.

Well, it might be a good news since I'm allowed to make more gown selections. In fact, I've enjoyed this fitting than the 1st fitting as more choices are available.

(I love this gown, easier to wear, light and pretty)

1st try and I'm in love with this gown
(Only for indoor photo-taking as I can't have it the main bridal gown since it's black)

The flowers on the dress are so lovely

After confirming the indoor gowns, I'm needed to choose another 3 for outdoor photo-taking. Tried on a few but didn't really liked it so fiancé asked if they have anything in yellow to fit the color of his shirt. So glad that they have one, and it's nice! Decided on this piece without having 2nd thoughts.

We need a formal bridal gown and didn't fancy any. Took this upon recommendation and it was the best choice among all the others. Besides, I don't think anyone will notice what kind of gown are you wearing eventually!

Tried this for fun as I always thought models always looked good with such bridal dresses. However, I have enough gowns and thought that I can just reserve this for tea ceremony etc.

Once I'm done, it's finally his turn! Don't be surprised by the bored look that he is showing below as there is nothing much that a guy can try on. Besides getting the right size, it's only about choosing colors and the type of suit cutting that fits him best.

Wearing white to compliment my white bridal gown.

Grey for my blue evening gown perhaps?

And also, a black suit that we have. Brainstorming is needed soon, before the photo-shoot to decide on what suit needs to match which shirt, along with which of my gown! Seems like a difficult task, we tried to do it on the spot but faced some difficulties. Pen and papers please...

I like Regine's work, she whipped up this make-up on my face within a short span of time!

Looking forward to the make up session on the photo-shoot day!

Understanding Appreciation

Appreciation, a difficult skill to master.

It only happens when a flower withers, when a nice scenery got blocked by new buildings, or when the person who has always been around disappeared.

I'm guilty of such, what about you?

Are you ready?

Everything seems to be in place till date for the big day.

Today, I took a little time off to browse through the photographs in my photo album and saw the poster that I took during our recee at the ROM.

Getting all ready for the big day with the 'necessities' is not a problem at all but getting the heart ready needs to take some time, as I always believed.

Is 'he' the person that I want to live with for the rest of my life?
Is 'he' the person that I can depend on for better and worst?
Am I prepared to take the vow and say "Yes I do"

Clock is clicking away every minute and counting down to the actual day that we will share our vows, to a brand new commitment. All I know from then till now is that, my heart is looking forward to, and enjoying every phases of preparation.

Loving your partner can be in any forms besides expressing it vocally. It can also be delivered through simple gestures with warm kisses, free hugs, being understanding and a whole load of way that you might have missed out on a busy day.

In case you're wondering what are my answers for the few questions, you can be rest assured. From the day the question was being asked in random at Punggol Park, I am sure that you are the one and I have no qualms to say that I am ready.
Thank you for being able to give me such assurance and security that felt so real.

Wedding preparations (Wedding Band)

Our eyes have been on the lookout for wedding bands for the past few months and have visited numerous jewellers. A few designs caught our attention but wasn't perfect to lock us into making a decision.

We wanted to have our wedding band ready for the pre-wedding photo shoot and hence made a shopping trip for our wedding bands at Ion. Returned to Love & Co. after going around as we felt that this pair of rings fits us best.

We chose a ring from different set of wedding band as there isn't any set that fits both of us. Most of it came with a diamond for the wives, and only a plain design for the hubbies. Besides, choosing from a different set of wedding bands would prevent us to have an exact set of wedding bands as our friends right!

Didn't want anything too complicated as it's will be meant for everyday use. Hence chose a classic design for both of us. We were contemplating with gold plating as it looks nice but gave the thought up as the trend will not be there forever. White gold looks fine as it is, and don't deserved to be changed.

Collected our rings and here's the final deal

The completed set, along with the engagement ring!

Preparing for wedding is never a cheap thing to begin with but I do not believe that you need to save up for 5 years before wedding (unless you are a perfectionist and needed branded or expensive stuff in your 'to-buy' and 'to-have' list). We burnt a few holes here and there, but recovered it the next month with lesser spending and more savings. Things were still manageable when big tickets are bought once in every 2-3 months.

We're loving every moments of the planning process and looking forward to every stages that seems to be marching towards us in a fast pace. As much as we are worried about the upcoming pre-wedding photo-shoot, I'm sure it's will be fun!

Short Getaway: Batam

Batam: 8 - 10 April 2012

The new Harris hotel is located just right beside the ferry terminal!

View from hotel room

Just me + you

My 1st encounter with Titanic!!!
It looks damn cool and exciting, but don't be fooled by all the photos!!! It is not recommended and not exciting at all. You will even end up rolling your eyes in the mist of the 5D show.

Happy Easter!

The cost of having pizza for 2 at Batam is equivalent to the cost for 1 person in Singapore. The benefit of visiting another country when your currency value is much stronger: you spend lesser for the same quality. It's yummy btw~

Gym on the last day while waiting to check-in for our departure ferry.
Holiday, don't you miss it when it's always over before you know?

Bye Batam!

April Fool's day!

Happy April Fool's Day and we kidnapped Tristan back to stay with us for a night. This cheeky boy is growing too fast and too cute to resist before he grow older and forming a character of his own.

Playground time!

When the night falls, both brothers took some time for a heart to heart talk on what they have done today. Kids~ you never know what they are thinking,

Wedding preparations (Goods delivered)

We were looking forward to coming home today as our parcel has arrived!!! So happy that everything arrived in excellent condition as expected. But well, the only thing that i didn't really expect was that we have to paste the sticker on the tins on our own.

I like!

Cute, but we can't afford 2 gifts for each guest.
Choose 1 each ok, be good.
Cool badages!

Obviously, the Bride and Groom badges are for keepsake, we can't be using it on the day right!
Seems like things are falling in place slowly and OMG, we're getting married!!!
