2nd Family Trip: Hong Kong (Day 7 - Macau)

Hong Kong: 23 - 30 January 2013

Took a MTR to the ferry terminal and got a little lost as we headed to the wrong terminal. The one that will bring us to Macau is at least, another 20minutes walk away!

Finally managed to get hold of ferry tickets to Macau, yeah!

Main motive to visit Macau was of course, to try out our luck at the casino. As we didn't want to be cheated by those touting drivers at the arrival, we walked around and asked for directions at the free-shuttle bus area. It's like a shuttle-bus interchange with a lot of buses to bring you to the respective casinos.

Showed the map of a few places that we wanted to visit but still can't get our way out to those museum etc. Landed at one of the well-known casino - Pu Jing and ventured out on our own from there.

Looked for awhile before we managed to find an eatery for a meal. Shops there were mainly either pawnshops or jewelry shops. -.-'

Macau was a beautiful place but only good for adults. It has a lot pretty lightnings and structures with unlimited choices of casinos to visit. We almost hopped onto a cab to bring us to the tourist spot but were glad that the uncle can't be bothered to do our business. He pointed straight up and said, you guys will reach within 10minutes. Indeed, we reached the tourist spot shortly and it's filled with Chinese New Year decorations!

This is how they cook 'gao luck', what our uncles did in Singapore was to keep stir frying it on a wok. The uncle there, they put their hand into the following - burning stove!

Baked fresh, yummy! We bought quite a bit of the biscuits from the shop, thought of buying it for new year since it's only 1 week later from our trip. However, came to realized that most have very short shelve-life. Some have even expired before we notice it :(

After shopping, the guys went to try their luck at the casino while we brought kids to continue walking around and waited at one of the park.

Soon after, we hopped onto the shuttle bus that we randomly spot at any hotel lobby and head back to the ferry terminal. Kids were too tired as they have ran too much at the playground. Fell asleep throughout the ferry journey back to HK and woke up feeling very grumpy. Haha...

Bye Macau, you are beautiful but only good for gambling
