2nd Family Trip: Hong Kong (Day 5 - Wong Tai Sin & Avenue of Stars)

Hong Kong: 23 - 30 January 2013

Wong Tai Sin was easily located and accessible via MTR. All you need to do is to follow the crowd or look out for signs to reach the temple upon exit of the Wong Tai Sin station.

There were already a lot of people when we reached around 12pm. It's just a normal Monday!

Not really sure we should do the praying but just followed the crowd as observations tells us that it doesn't work the way Singapore temples work.

Saw pretty awesome 12 zodiac statues and not sure if it's there due to CNY period, or it will always be there.

Had our Dim Sum lunch which was delicious but pardon me, I do not have any photos! We queued for more than 30mins but it was all worth it!

Kids heard drumming from far and followed the drums for a distance, up the stairs and into the park! They are sure motivated to run for their passion!

Finally reached the venue!

Very Happy kids

Lion dancer wanna-be

The night turned cold and too cold with the strong wind blowing! Can't wait to finish this stretch of 'runway'! Brrrrr...

Little sweet treats that we splurged a bit on, yumz!

Trying on food that you can never find in Singapore, Pig-ears!!!
Had a long day today, with lots of walking from places to places. Haha... kids were very good today. Besides the normal fighting and bickering, they walked on their own throughout the whole day.

2nd Family Trip: Hong Kong (Day 4 - Ngong Ping)

Hong Kong: 23 - 30 January 2013

Lift is spoilt and we're staying at 12th storey =.="

Luckily it turns out to be working even though it is flashing 'out of service' light.

Didn't managed to eat at the Dim Sum place again as it's again too crowded! Had a simple but yummy lunch a few streets down. Kor loves the goose meat because it is tender and juicy! Now we understand why there is a price difference between goose and duck.

三拼

Kor tried to be a big boy and carry the bag but it was too heavy! He can't even move a few steps. We took MTR to Tung Chung station to take the cable car up to Ngong Ping and visit the Big Buddha.

Bought a 2-way cable car ticket from the main entrance and got some discount off when we presented our Ocean Park ticket upon purchase. It's a promotion that binds the 5 main HK attractions and discount will be given for visit at the next attraction from now till 31 December 2013.

HAPPY

We've conquered the flights of steps!

One more group photo before we catches the last Cable car out!
Shopped around at the Harbour City outlet mall for a while as no one purchased anything as well! Left the mall within an hour and headed out.

Planned to visit the ladies market after dinner but it was raining so we went to a nearby shopping mall to have dinner instead. Hopping for the rain to stop after dinner but it didn't. Plus, XXD nose bled before dinner and thought it was better to head home and rest instead.

Ramen dinner for the adults and Genki sushi for the kids!

After the daily supper affair for the adults, everyone will sleep early tonight and try to wake up early for Disneyland!!!
