Proposal, a life time commitment.

Proposal - the very small step to a life-time committment yet the biggest courage that one needs to ask "Will you marry me?" and for one to reply "Yes I will!".
I always think that it takes one a lot of courage to plan and accept a proposal. It is not easy to accept a man/woman for the rest of your life unless you are certain that he/she is the one that you are looking for, and as the vow goes, to be true in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health.

It is easy to fall in love and be head over heels for each other during dating and the question is, how can one continue to love and honour each other for all the days of one's life?

'Forever' sounded meaningless to me all these while as many sad cases have been witnessed. I do not know why, but I felt that this word should be used for my one, and only. I'm pretty sure this time that I've found the man whom I love, and will love forever. For this man, I took on my courage and say "Yes, I will!".

 Many asked:
  • How can you be sure that it is him?
  • Is HE the one for you?
  • So you're certain?
 My answer is:
  • You will feel and know it if he's the right man.

I do not have an exact answer to the questions but I'm certain and ready to create a future that belongs to us.

The Proposal

Koh Samui: 5 - 8 September 2011

The trip to Koh Samui was planned as a surprise and I only got to know it a few days before, if I remembered it correctly.

Everything was quite well organized and the only thing that wasn't planned for, was the weather on the proposal day!

Knowing that I will agree to view the sunset with him, he took it as an excuse to return to the room to rest while waiting for the right time to leave for Sunset.

As we made our way to the beach, we noticed that there are a table and BBQ station being set up for private dining. He denied that he was dining there when the staff asked and continued to walk towards to end of the beach to view the sunset and took some random pictures.

Surprise 1: He arranged for private dinner, by the beach with a perfect sunset view.

Surprise 2: After having our 1st, 2nd course of food served, an Acapella group appeared and started the entertainment of the night. What's better than to have beautiful voices and music to accompany us for a night like this.

While we are still trying to finish the plate of BBQ food, sky starts to turn cloudy with really strong wind and seemed like it might rain anytime. Being tasked with the most important job, the 'service staff' have to check and asked if they can serve the dessert already as it might rain anytime. He nodded and gave clearance to have the dessert served.

Surprise 3: When the service staff returned with a huge box, I seriously thought it's gonna be a cake. then again, the box is too big to contain a cake.

It was a carefully hand-crafted 'MARRY ME' words in the box... It still looks like a cake to me upon opening. It was only upon touching, then I realized it was not! Good workmanship I would say ^.^

Surprise 4: Following quick after opening the box, he kneeled down and popped the very important question to me with a ring on his hand, pulling out from his pocket. The moment was really fast and i guess the only reaction that I could have was to say "Yes, I will", and got him up on his knees. It was clear in me that, Yes is the only answer that I want to give, for a man whom I love, and loves me dearly too.

Surprise 5: Background music was changed to 月亮代表我的心 swiftly, and he started singing. To me, this song was more than meaningful. There will be flashbacks on how we got together and how we have heard this song at Bintan while dining. It was being sang by a group of Acapella too then... "輕輕的一個吻 已經打動我的心 深深的一段情 教我思念到如今..."

Thank you love, for all the special arrangements and time taken with careful thoughts to HIDE it from me.

I love you!

The Lucky One

Marriage is something that is within our reach but beyond our control.

Seeing different kind of marriages doesn't mean that you might just know how to perfect your own as it takes 2 to clap. One may have the perfect marriage in mind but will never be able to materialize it with an individual effort. I've heard and seen both positive and negative notes of marriage yet can't say how my marriage will be like.

The most vivid one I have in mind was, a married couple who could show their love in public through frequent hugs and pecks that was so natural where one wouldn't see it as a PDA. Instead, you can feel their happiness and love for each other. Isn't it something that everyone yearn for, but how many could actually achieve and keep that going?

I guess, communications, mutual understanding, trust and personal time plays a very important role of a successful marriage while commitment takes on a bigger role then the above. How about you?

Anyway, on a side note, I'm pretty excited about this show and it's finally on screen tomorrow, 19 April! Enjoy the trailer :)

Back to Blogger!

I was really surprised when I see that Blogger has changed so much in terms of its interface, flexibility of the templates and layout! I still remembered how troublesome it was to source for a pretty theme in the past by spending hours on www.blogskins.com to get the right html coding for the type of layout and themes that i desired. Although www.blogskins.com is still a great website to visit for creative skins and layout style, it's too time-consuming for me to search for that 'one' template that I fancy.

Now, I get to save my time by just clicking on the Blogger's design tab and I can easily customize almost 70% of what I want on my blog such as choosing from a variety of colors and fonts, background picture to adding of gadgets in my blog. How cool!

Perhaps I've been away for too long but hack, I'm having an entire new experience returning back to blogger :)
