Wedding preparation (Sisters and Brothers morning kit)

Date is nearing with every progress that we make and it's time to send out the morning kit to brothers and sisters along with one last briefing before everyone gathers on the actual wedding day!

Distributed their task list and included a couple of items in their sisters kit that they will need on the day. Not forgetting a 'Thank you' note for all the time and effort that they have put in for my wedding!

Bought a perfume each for brothers and sisters so that they can refresh themselves whenever required after a long and hot gatecrash.

Mass purchase~ Whooooooooo!

To-do list for sisters along with their individual colors

Attire for gatecrash (Green, Orange and Pink!)

All in, and ready to be distributed!

Bought a 'Thank you' ribbon and replaced the above paper bag handle with this ribbon!

At last, a 'thank you' note, exclusively to Sisters!

Thank you Sisters, I really couldn't say "I do" without you!

Wedding preparation (Flower-boy attire)

While I settled the flower-girls dress-code, sis was also busy trying to look around for the flower-boys clothes and shoes. Since all the brothers will be wearing vest, we were thinking that instead of wearing a suit with jacket, the boys could wear a vest as well with a long sleeve shirt. Something like the sample photo below, but replacing the jeans with pants.

Settled on shoes! Good as formal wear as well as ease of running about!

Tried on the vest and looks perfect! Of course, this is after many tries at different departmental stores over a period of time.

Thank you Sis for going through all the trouble to settle their shirts and vest! It must been a tiring journey to try on the clothes with them running about non-stop.

E,g. Didi getting all tired by changing and changing.

E.g: Trying to catch both to take a picture!

I'm sure that will be very handsome on my wedding day and cute with all the cheeky actions. Only thing that we are worried is that they might walk in too fast during march in. Wahahhaa...

Wedding preparations (Flower-girl tutu)

I wanted my flower girls to wear tutu but can't find it at any stores so decided to do it on my own. Isn't it beautiful? I chanced upon a photo with black tutu which looks absolutely awesome, but since it's for wedding, black is really not preferred in our traditional.

You-Tube around for a lot of 'how to DIY a tutu' videos. This video was quite helpful and it wasn't too long nor difficult to understand. Check this out if you are keen to do one for your occasion too.
How to make a no sew Tutu
After having a brief idea on what was required, I asked for my flower girl measurements such as the waist size and the length from waist to kneecaps to ensure that the tutu will not be too long or short.

Finally took a step out to make things possible and went shopping at Arab street for material. I thought it's gonna be difficult to find tutu materials but apparently not. Managed to find after visiting 2 shops with reasonable pricing and saw the exact material and colors that I want.

Did a sample to see how will blue match with pink but guess it couldn't blend in somehow.

Did another sample with blue and other colors to lighten the blue tone which soften the overall blueish effect.

Note: There are a few types of materials for tutu and some were really sturdy and could make a perfect no-frills tutu but it's gonna be too thick and uncomfortable to wear on. I took a mixture of thick and soft material to ensure that my girls will feel comfortable while wearing it instead of getting pokes by the harsh tutu strips.

Here my end product:

I tired one with full pink and another with a touch of blue.

Cute little male model
Sneaked my way to put on the little prince when he was sleeping... but got caught shortly! Opps.

Sobs, I'm a boy, please remove that skirt on me please.............

Bought this top at Chinatown for them to match with the tutu~ Was deciding between the following 2 but chose the white design as it looked cuter! Searched for a long long time before i found a matching top! Whew... another item down!

Looking forward to see my little flower girls on the actual day!

Hens night (A night to remember)

The party started with these 3 friends and off we go to the high high way... Liquors~

Thank you girls for agreeing to no 'ma-lu' Hens night props, just crown and glow in the dark sticks!

Too much undisclosed secrets that cannot be shared, thank you all for the unforgettable night!

Besides all these photos that we have taken, I have no idea what happened next. I believed I have slept half way, and walked myself up the house when the cab arrived. Horrible!!!

The almost 'there' hubby to be, also can't remember how both of us got home besides remembering that he took a cab after his bachelor night party to Clarke Quay to fetch me home and took on a cab. No memories after that... Boo-hoo~

All I can remember was the all the fun before I got knocked out and the hangover on the next day -,-'
